FAQ/POLICIES HERE IS A LIST OF COMMON QUESTIONS & ANSWERS I GET ON A DAILY BASIS:
1. CONSULTATIONS At this time, we do offer free consultations, up to 15 minutes. To schedule a free consultation with Attorney Teshia Martin, please click here. *DISCLAIMER: Please see question No. 4 below about legal advice.
2. CAN I PAY FOR A SERVICE ONLINE? Not at this time. If you decide to hire us for your legal needs, we prefer to send you an invoice that is as secure and protected as possible.
3. CAN YOU WORK OUTSIDE OF OHIO? We can only work with Ohio residents for most areas of law, such as creating your Will or Trust. However, if you are a Trademark or Copyright client, those are Federal laws, and we are licensed to service you no matter what state you reside in.
4. CAN YOU GIVE LEGAL ADVICE ONLINE OR IN PERSON? No, we cannot. We do post a lot of videos and articles on our social media accounts and people have questions. Also, people like to ask us questions in person, and we do understand. However, our hands are tied, and we are not able to give legal advice to anyone online or in person, unless you are a client who has created the attorney-client relationship by signing a fee agreement and purchasing a service. During free consultation appointments, Attorney Teshia Martin will be able to listen to your needs and offer suggestions, but we are not at liberty to give legal advice until and unless a fee agreement is signed and paid.
5. WHAT DOES A FREE CONSULTATION INCLUDE? A free consultation includes for us to listen to your needs and concerns, and help guide you in the right direction. You will speak directly with Attorney Teshia Martin, and she will offer suggestions and services that she can offer to help you with your legal matter. However, please see above and review question No. 4.
6. WHAT ARE YOUR PRICES FOR SERVICES? At this time, we have stopped listing our prices online. If you want a price quote, please book a consultation with us and we can give you a quote. Your legal needs are individual, and so we cannot offer a price until we have spoken to you about your needs.
7. DO YOU TRAVEL TO ME? Yes! At this time, we travel to all of our clients if you have a service that requires travel. Wills & Trusts, Prenups, etc. will require travel to you so we can sign and notarize documents. Contracts, Trademark Registration & Copyright do not require travel to you. We can provide all of those legal services online and over the phone.
8. DO YOU CHARGE EXTRA FEES? We do not charge travel fees or credit card fees! No hidden fees!
9. WILL I BE A CLIENT "FOR LIFE?" Yes, we hope you stay with us for a very long time! Although there may be extra fees for making changes to legal documents and scheduling additional consultations, we plan to take care of you for as long as we possibly can, AND YOUR FAMILY TOO!
10. WHAT HAPPENS IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO YOU? This is a great question! We have a contingency plan in place for our law firm so that if something happens to us and we are no longer around or in business, we have a backup law firm in place who will take over our law firm. You would be notified by letter and phone call if something like this were to happen.
